Notes

'Seiriu Somae' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Seiriu Somae') is a perennial for borders, perennial beds, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, fragrant, cream flowers open from mid to late spring into early summer. Each bloom has smooth white outer petals and a center of curly, yellow-edged petaloids. The stems are lax, so give them support.

Pairs well with Solomon's seal, Nepeta, Sedge, and Black Hero tulip.
