Notes

'Shannon' peony (Paeonia 'Shannon') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. Large double pink flowers have a rose form and rise well above the foliage on strong stems. Brown bred it in 1952. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with White Swan coneflower, Earth Angel hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, and Spanish bluebell.
