Notes

'Sherwoodii' Norway spruce (Picea abies 'Sherwoodii') is a tree for specimen planting, borders, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. This evergreen has a conical shape and a rapid growth rate, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Mugo pine, Autumn Gold maidenhair tree, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
