Notes

'Shindeshojo' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Shindeshojo') is a shrub for specimen, accent, and woodland gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. It grows slowly into a broad form and shows color in fall. Red flowers open from early to late spring and attract bees and birds. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Rising Sun Texas redbud, Bracken, and David garden phlox.
