Notes

'Show Opener' peony (Paeonia 'Show Opener') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its short plants carry single, fragrant red flowers. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms, and William Henry Krekler bred it.

Pairs well with Hosta, Pink Impression tulip, Blonde Ambition blue grama, and Baby's breath.
