Notes

'C.B. Smith' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'C.B. Smith') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The name honors a friend who served in the army. Cut the blooms for bouquets and let the clump anchor the border.

Pairs well with Patriot hosta, Annabelle hydrangea, and Sedge.
