Notes
'Smnlig' lagerstroemia (Lagerstroemia indica 'Smnlig') is a shrub for borders, hedges, and xeriscape beds, and it needs little care. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer tend to pass it by. It blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and it is drought tolerant once settled in.
Pairs well with Lavender, Black-eyed Susan, and Blue grama.
