Notes

'Snowline' sedge (Carex conica 'Snowline') is a grass for borders, containers, rock gardens, and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It forms a slow growing clump that stays 6 to 12 inches tall. Purplish white flowers appear in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them.

Pairs well with Aureola Japanese forest grass, Lady fern, and Rozanne crane's-bill.
