Notes
'Solar Cascade' short's goldenrod (Solidago shortii 'Solar Cascade') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, loamy or clay soil. It forms a clump of golden yellow blooms that grows 24 to 30 inches tall. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.
Pairs well with Fountain grass, Green and gold, and Beautyberry.
