Notes

'Songbirds' bishop's hat (Epimedium 'Songbirds') is a perennial for shade gardens, woodland gardens, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist soil of most types. It is evergreen and drought tolerant once settled, and bees visit it. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows 12 to 24 inches tall and spreads 24 to 36 inches.

Pairs well with Lady fern, Aureola Japanese forest grass, Curly Fries hosta, and Lungwort.
