Notes

'Sonoma Sisters' peony (Paeonia 'Sonoma Sisters') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Single, fragrant salmon-pink flowers open in early to late spring with dark red flares at the center. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Irene Tolomeo bred it, and butterflies visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Catmint, Blue fescue, and The President clematis.
