'Spijon' apple (Malus domestica 'Spijon') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It blooms in early to late spring, and bees visit the flowers. The New York State Agricultural Experiment Station bred it in 1968.
