Notes

'Splendida' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Splendida') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large double blooms open in late spring with a strong, pleasant fragrance. The flowers start light old-rose-pink and fade to almost white with age. Stiff stems hold the tall plant upright.

Pairs well with Siberian squill, Rose, and Brown-eyed Susan.
