Notes

Spreading phlox (Phlox diffusa) is a perennial for ground cover, woodland gardens, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms low, sprawling mats of narrow, needle-like leaves that stay evergreen. Small blooms in white, pink, or purple can cover the leaves in spring. It is a good choice for stabilizing soil.

Pairs well with Gladiator ornamental onion, Buffalo grass, and Greig's tulip.
