Notes

'Spring Carnival' peony (Paeonia 'Spring Carnival') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. The golden-yellow blooms have red edges and dark red flares, and they attract butterflies. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1944.

Pairs well with Blue sage, Greig's tulip, and Jackmanii clematis.
