Notes

'Springtime Joy' peony (Paeonia 'Springtime Joy') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The fragrant, double flowers open light peach-yellow with pink and lavender shading, and bees and butterflies visit them. Upright stems stay about 22 inches tall and need no support.

Pairs well with Fire and Ice hosta, Incrediball Storm Proof smooth hydrangea, Carlton daffodil, and Western sword fern.
