Notes

'Squeek' peony (Paeonia 'Squeek') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Roy G. Klehm bred it, and it stays short with lobed foliage and one fragrant red bloom per stem. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Bees and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Picture tulip, and Blonde Ambition blue grama.
