Notes
'St. Elmo' hosta (Hosta 'St. Elmo') is a perennial for shade borders, woodland gardens, and groundcover. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes part to full shade and average moisture. It grows 18 to 24 inches tall and spreads 18 to 48 inches, so give it room. Pale lavender flowers open in early to mid summer.
Pairs well with Marginal wood fern, Leopard plant, and Appalachian sedge.
