Notes

'Star of Venus' peony (Paeonia 'Star of Venus') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The fragrant, early semi-double flowers open dark pink, fade to a lighter pink, and attract butterflies and bees. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. Joshua Scholten bred it, and the upright stems need no support.

Pairs well with Royal Standard hosta, Dittany, Black Hero tulip, and Sedge.
