Notes
'Stella Compact' sweet cherry (Prunus avium 'Stella Compact') is a tree for food gardens and pollinator gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun. The tree is grown for eating fresh. It is self-fertile, so you do not need a second tree to set fruit. Its columnar habit suits smaller spaces, and the spring blooms attract butterflies and bees.
Pairs well with Goldsturm black-eyed Susan, Gro-Low fragrant sumac, Pretty Princess tulip, and August Moon hosta.
