Notes

'Stop Light' peony (Paeonia 'Stop Light') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its full double, bomb type blooms reach 5 to 6 inches wide, smell sweet, and hold their neon-like cerise-red color until petal drop. Walter Z. Mains bred it. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Hosta, Prairie dropseed, Black Hero tulip, and Maiden pink.
