Notes

'Strawberry Fields' gomphrena (Gomphrena haageana 'Strawberry Fields') is an annual for borders, cut flowers, and containers. It is tender to cold, and the first hard frost will kill it. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Red blooms appear from early to late summer and again in early to late autumn, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Zinnia, African marigold, and First Knight fountain grass.
