Strawberry Frost burnet

Notes

'Strawberry Frost' burnet (Sanguisorba tenuifolia 'Strawberry Frost') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist soil. White and frosted-pink flowers sway above green leaves from summer to fall, and bees visit the pipe cleaner-like blooms. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It can reach four feet tall, so plant it in the mid to back of the border.

Pairs well with Aromatic aster, Western sword fern, and Queen of Sweden rose.
