Notes

'Pink Elephant' burnet (Sanguisorba tenuifolia 'Pink Elephant') is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It grows 35 to 59 inches tall and blooms in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Cloud Nine switchgrass, Fireworks wrinkleleaf goldenrod, and Bowl of Cream peony.
