Notes

'Strawberry Ripple' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Strawberry Ripple') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The full double white flowers carry red stripes over the whole bloom and have few stamens. Stems reach about 35 inches and hold good foliage. Myron D. Bigger bred it in 1979.

Pairs well with American Gold Rush black-eyed Susan, Smooth hydrangea, Ostrich fern, and Picture tulip.
