Notes

'Striped Phantom' lamb’s ear (Stachys byzantina 'Striped Phantom') is a perennial for borders, containers, rock gardens, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It forms a clump and stays evergreen. Purple flowers appear in late spring and again in summer, and butterflies and bees visit them. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Blue fescue, Kansas peony, and Black Parrot tulip.
