Notes

'Sugar Candy' clematis (Clematis 'Sugar Candy') is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and privacy screens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. Raymond J. Evison bred it in 1994. Pink blooms open in spring, summer, and autumn, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Peony, Vintage Wine spotted beebalm, Smooth hydrangea, and Apricotta cosmos.
