Notes

'Sugar Plum' carnation (Dianthus 'Sugar Plum') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, containers, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Fragrant flowers open from early to late spring and again from early to late summer. Butterflies and bees visit the blooms.

Pairs well with Lavender, Deep Blue Clips tussock bellflower, and Early Sunrise largeflower tickseed.
