Notes

'Sully Prudhomme' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Sully Prudhomme') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The large, double, flesh-pink blooms open in mid to late spring and have a faint fragrance. A circle of red-edged petals surrounds the center. Some stems are too weak to hold the blooms, so you may want to stake them.

Pairs well with Nepeta, Charles Joly lilac, Ostrich fern, and Picture tulip.
