Notes

'Suminagashi' Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Suminagashi') is a tree for specimen, accent, and woodland use. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first. It grows slowly into a broad shape, and the red spring flowers attract bees and birds. The leaves turn color in fall.

Pairs well with Oakleaf hydrangea, Green and gold, and Daffodil.
