Notes

'Sunburst Wonder' peony (Paeonia 'Sunburst Wonder') is a shrub for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and specimen use. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Light yellow or cream blooms have red shading and darker flares in early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. Derek Irvine bred it.

Pairs well with Niobe clematis, Bells of Ireland, and Joe-pyeweed.
