Notes

'Sunkist' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Sunkist') is a shrub for hedges, privacy screens, specimen planting, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen that holds its color through winter, and birds visit it for cover.

Pairs well with Globosa Colorado spruce, Rock soapwort, and Red fescue.
