Notes

'Sunshine' red twig dogwood (Cornus sericea 'Sunshine') is a shrub for borders, hedges, privacy screens, and winter interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to wet soil of most types. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. It grows fast and reaches about 6 to 10 feet tall and wide. Bees, butterflies, and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Sibirica red-barked dogwood, Diane Japanese witch hazel, Lenten rose, and Yellow trout-lily.
