Notes
'Suntan' apple (Malus domestica 'Suntan') is a tree for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is grown for fresh eating and juice, and white spring flowers attract bees. This apple is not self-fertile, so plant another apple nearby for pollination. East Malling Research bred it in 1955.
Pairs well with Blueberry, Hummingbird's mint, and Chardonnay grape.
