Notes

'Supra Purple' carnation (Dianthus 'Supra Purple') is an annual for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and cut flowers. It shrugs off cool spells and light frost, though a hard freeze will damage it. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Rosy pink to purple blooms are fragrant and draw butterflies and bees. It also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Blue fescue, and African marigold.
