Notes
'A.C. Sweet' pomegranate (Punica granatum 'A.C. Sweet') is a shrub for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The multi-stemmed shrub grows up to 10 feet, but you can keep it smaller by pruning. Orange-red blooms give it a subtropical look. It is self fertile and leafs out in late spring, and it needs lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit.
Pairs well with Blue Chiffon rose of sharon, Fountain grass, and California poppy.
