Notes
'Azadi' pomegranate (Punica granatum 'Azadi') is a shrub for the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It has multi-stemmed growth and can reach 10 feet tall, but pruning keeps it smaller. Orange-red blooms give it a subtropical look. The pale yellow fruit is flushed with pink and holds peach-colored arils with a sweet taste.
Pairs well with Persimmon, Society garlic, and Tuberose.
