Notes

'Salavatski' pomegranate (Punica granatum 'Salavatski') is a shrub for fruit, hedges, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It grows as a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub up to 10 feet tall, and pruning keeps it smaller. Orange-red, trumpet-shaped flowers give way to yellow to orange-red fruits. It is self fertile and needs lots of sun and heat to bloom and fruit.

Pairs well with Rose of sharon, Fountain grass, and Western redbud.
