Notes

'Tea Rose' peony (Paeonia 'Tea Rose') is a shrub for borders, cottage gardens, specimen planting, and cut flowers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Its yellow blooms with pink shading open from early to late spring in a warm light amber tone, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. Arthur Percy Saunders bred it in 1948.

Pairs well with Astilbe, Jackmanii clematis, Big bluestem, and Grape hyacinth.
