Notes

'Temptation' culver’s root (Veronicastrum virginicum 'Temptation') is a perennial for cut flower use, pollinator gardens, rain gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun and average to wet, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 36 to 48 inches tall with an erect habit and purple-rose blooms in summer. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Butterflies and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Spotted joe-pye weed, Paprika yarrow, and Foxtail barley.
