Notes

'Terracotta' lupine (Lupinus 'Terracotta') is a perennial. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun. The flowers open pink, turn rusty orange, and then blush red. Bees visit the blooms in summer. Lupins go semi-dormant after blooming, so plant it behind something shorter and cut it back after flowering to encourage new growth and reblooming.

Pairs well with Purrsian Blue nepeta, Campfire rose, and Sedge.
