Notes

'Tetrarose' clematis (Clematis Montana 'Tetrarose') is a vine for pollinator gardens, privacy screens, and hedges. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. Rose-red, fragrant flowers open in spring and again in summer, and they draw butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. The Boskoop Research Station bred it.

Pairs well with Bloodgood Japanese maple, Heather, Ornamental onion, and Bluebell.
