Notes

'The Governor' lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus 'The Governor') is a perennial for cut flowers, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer rarely make it their first choice. Fragrant purple, blue, and white flower spikes attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It is a larval host to many butterfly species.

Pairs well with Blush peony, Cheerfulness daffodil, and Sedge.
