Notes

'Chandelier' lupine (Lupinus polyphyllus 'Chandelier') is a perennial for cut flowers, containers, and low maintenance beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Fragrant yellow flower spikes appear in spring and again in summer, and bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visit the blooms. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Bumblebees pollinate it, and many butterfly species use it as a larval host.

Pairs well with Weigela, Gardenia peony, and Buffalo grass.
