Notes

'Thérèse' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Thérèse') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. Its huge double flowers have long, old-rose-pink petals with a golden glow deep inside. The blooms are heavy, so they can bend the stems outdoors, especially in wet weather. Auguste Dessert bred it.

Pairs well with Japanese spirea, Grape hyacinth, and Sedge.
