Notes

Tievine (Ipomoea cordatotriloba) is a vine for low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or loamy soil. The pink flowers have a deep purple center with a star shape inside. Trailing stems can grow 15 feet long or more, so give it room and keep it in check. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Carolina jessamine, Frogfruit, and Texas mountain laurel.
