Notes

'Timaru Superb' peony (Paeonia 'Timaru Superb') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Cream blooms with dark pink tinges and a darker center open from early to late spring, and butterflies visit them. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. Derek Irvine bred it in 2001.

Pairs well with Niobe clematis, David garden phlox, and Ostrich fern.
