Notes

'Tiny Tot' American arborvitae (Thuja occidentalis 'Tiny Tot') is a shrub for borders, containers, rock gardens, and foundation plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows slowly into a dense, fragrant evergreen mound that stays 12 to 24 inches tall and wide. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Birds visit it, and the evergreen foliage adds winter interest.

Pairs well with Autumn Frost hosta, Hardy geranium, Lucifer montbretia, and Sedge.
