Notes
'Miyazaki Hybrids' toad lily (Tricyrtis hirta 'Miyazaki Hybrids') is a perennial for borders, containers, and shade gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes part sun to full shade and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It forms an arching clump that grows slowly and draws butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, and birds. It sits low on the menu for deer. Blooms appear in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn.
Pairs well with Lady fern, White Feather hosta, and Western sword fern.
