Notes

'Top Flight' peony (Paeonia lactiflora 'Top Flight') is a perennial for borders, cut flowers, and perennial beds. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and loamy soil. The huge buds have red markings and open into large, fragrant, blush pink flowers in early to mid summer. The petals all recurve, which is the opposite of most peonies. Strong, stiff stems hold the blooms up.

Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Christmas fern, and Picture tulip.
